what fish for the pond?
ok so im going to get a 60 gallon pond and im going to have a diy 5 gallon bucket trickle filter/ Aquaponics grow bed. what fish should i get. i dont want to keep gold fish or koi because the climate might be to hot for them since the water will naturally be around 70-80 degrees farenheit.
You can keep koi and goldfish in warm water conditions if the pond is 3 feet deep in areas, and you have shade. Koi and goldfish live just fine in Phoenix summers.
If you want something different, look for daces, darters, mosquito fish, minnows, or sunfish. But, you need to check with your local fish and game department because many places require a permit for keeping some of these fish.
